Born December 17, 1940 in Outremont, middle daughter of Solomon W. Weber, Q.C. and Celia Maron.

I am a graduate of McGill University in Sociology and Psychology and I am married to Irving Shapiro, a lawyer and partner at Phillips, Friedman Kotler, where I have worked for the last 20 years as a librarian.

We have 3 married children.  Davina is a graduate in Industrial Relations from McGill and is married to Steven White (commercial real estate agent) and twins soon to be 5 years of age;  Jeff a graduate of McGill in English, lives in Kitchener with his wife and 2 daughters ages 10 and 8;  Elliot, a lawyer at Ogilvy Renault in Montreal, is married to Iza Krakow, who is working on her Masters in Classics / Linguistics.

My older brother, graduate of Strathcona Academy. [passed away just after his 60th birthday in Ontario about 10 years ago.  He was married to Sue Cohen (M.A. in Social Work), a Ph.D. in speech and learning, and had 5 adopted children.  My sister Judith Faroutch, graduated Outremont High 2 years after me, is a travel agent in Montreal, and has 2 sons and 2 grandchildren in Toronto.
