After Graduating, I attended Sir George Williams University and received a B.A. degree, following which I attended Université de Montréal and received my law degree.  I practiced Notarial Law for over 35 years and retired in 2001. My practice was mainly oriented towards real estate law and estates. During the first few years of my practice I had contributed several articles on Quebec Law to the Financial Post (now known as the National Post) as well as some

University publications and journals. I also lectured at Concordia but gave this up when my practice started to flourish.

I am married to Lily Azerad, who is an artist, and we have 3 children,

The eldest, Ron, received his MBA from Rensselaer (RPI) in Troy NY in business enterpreneurship and now runs a successful Internet business the virtual toy store Kimmyshop.com.

My second son, Dan, who holds a BFA degree (Music) is a musician, song writer and arranger, my daughter, Joanna is presently studying animation in Toronto.

We also have 2 grandchildren, Stephanie and Alex (Ron's children).

Since my retirement, I have become a travel writer and book reviewer-both as hobbies. As my wife Lily is an artist, we meld my words with her water colors focusing on romantic destinations. This has enabled us to travel throughout the USA & Canada and meet some very interesting people. As a book reviewer, I have likewise met some very interesting authors and experts who have opened up many areas that I had longed to explore but did not have the time until my retirement.

This keeps us very busy!  We also spend our winters in Saint Petersburg Florida. If any of you likewise are on the West Coast of Florida, please let us know and perhaps we can meet up.
